This juicy microlot comes from the area of Tarqui in the Huila region of Colombia. After following a winding road up along a mountainside, you’ll reach the home of Fernando Trujillo, and his farm Los Altares. Here he and his family have been turning out exceptional lots for years, and Fernando is no newcomer to coffee. To be precise, he started his journey into growing his own coffee at 13, when his father entrusted him with a small piece of land of the family farm to call his own, gradually expanding his plantation over the years. "I have been raised in the world of coffee," shared Fernando. The fertile land and nutritious soil at Los Altares is meticulously carved into plots based on variety, so that the hand picking of the ripe cherries easily can be sorted and processed as specific lots. The result is a beautiful and clean cup with  juicy and tropical notes.
